Terms and Conditions

Effective date: 5 January 2026

These terms govern your use of services at Byron Boxing (the “Gym”), including classes, memberships, open gym, sparring, personal training, youth/junior programs, recovery sessions, and purchases from our shop at www.byronboxing.com.au. By booking, attending, or purchasing, you agree to these terms.

Memberships and Services

  • Memberships (Gold, Silver, Bronze, Youth, Junior, etc.) and passes (casual, 10-pack, holiday) are as described on our pricing page. Gold/Platinum levels include sparring access where applicable.

  • No lock-in contracts. Memberships are ongoing (billed weekly) and can be frozen/paused or cancelled by contacting the Gym staff.

  • Bookings are required via our online timetable, except for Junior members. Check-in is mandatory using the iPad system whenever attending class or Open Gym.

  • Equipment (gloves) is supplied for beginners; personal wraps/gloves are recommended and available in the shop.

  • Youth (12–18) and Junior (7–11) classes are non-contact unless in approved sessions and emphasise safety.

Missed Classes

  • There is no refund for missed classes, as the Gym runs on a weekly recurring membership model. If you are on a Bronze or Silver Youth membership and are unable to attend the day/s you normally would during a particular week, you may do a make-up session or attend any open gym session the week prior or after, upon request.

Cancellations and No-Shows

  • Class bookings: Cancel at least 12 hours in advance to avoid forfeiture of the session (or deduction from passes/memberships). Late cancellations or no-shows may incur a fee equivalent to the session cost.

  • Memberships/passes: Contact us to freeze your membership if you are going to be absent for a period of time. Memberships can be cancelled by you via the online member portal. No fees for cancellation, but any outstanding payments must be settled. Passes expire as stated (e.g., 3 months for 10-packs).

Shop Purchases and Gift Vouchers

  • Items (gloves, wraps, towels, caps, vouchers) are sold as described. Vouchers are valid for the period stated and non-transferable unless specified.

  • All sales are final unless covered by our return policy below.

Liability and Risk

Boxing and fitness activities involve inherent risks (e.g., injury, strains, or worse). You participate at your own risk. By attending or signing a waiver (which contains full gym rules), you release Byron Boxing, its owners (Sam and Jade Jackson), coaches, and staff from any claims for injury, loss, or damage (including negligence) arising from your participation, except where caused by our gross negligence or breach of consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law.

You agree to follow all instructions, wear appropriate attire (training shoes, singlet/t-shirt for men, towel), maintain hygiene, and respect others. Zero tolerance for bullying, disruptive behaviour, or substance use. Breach may result in immediate termination of access/membership.

Payments

Payments are processed securely via Square. Recurring memberships are billed weekly. You authorise us to charge the provided method.

Refund and Return Policy

  • Services and Memberships: Generally non-refundable once commenced or used. Unused passes may be refunded on a pro-rata basis at our discretion (less any admin fee). No refunds for attended classes or expired passes. Gift vouchers are non-refundable except where required by law.

  • Physical Products (gloves, wraps, towels, caps, etc.): 30-day return window from purchase. Items must be unused, in original packaging and condition, with proof of purchase. We inspect returns and issue refunds/exchanges (to the original payment method) within 14 days of receipt. Exclusions: sale items, personalised/voucher items, hygiene products, or items damaged by you.

  • Australian Consumer Law: Nothing in this policy limits your statutory rights (e.g., for faulty goods or services not of acceptable quality).

General

  • These terms may be updated; continued use constitutes acceptance.

  • Governing law: New South Wales, Australia.

  • Contact us for any queries.

This policy applies to shop purchases (gloves, wraps, towels, caps, gift vouchers) made at www.byronboxing.com.au or in person.
