Matchup & Bout Eligibility Acknowledgement

Fight Camp is designed to prepare you for a boxing bout. However, a bout can only proceed if a safe and fair opponent is available. This document explains how matchups are determined and what happens if a suitable bout cannot be arranged. 

1. MATCHUPS

Matchups are coordinated by Eleven Eleven Boxing Gym and its affiliates, Byron Boxing and Habitual Boxing Club. Every matchup is assessed using three key factors: 

• Weight

• Experience

• Age

A bout will only proceed when a suitable opponent is available across all three criteria, and you are deemed ready to fight by our coaches. This ensures the safety and fairness of every contest. 

2. A BOUT IS NOT GUARANTEED

Enrolling in Fight Camp does not guarantee a bout.

You may not be approved to fight if:

• a suitable opponent cannot be found based on weight, experience and age; or

• your coaches have determined you are not yet ready to compete safely.

All decisions regarding bout eligibility are made by the Byron Boxing coaching team in the interests of fighter safety and fair competition.

3. TIMING

By the end of Week 3, the coaching team will advise whether you are:

• Progressing at a rate that should see you ready to compete on fight night; or

• been placed in the Training Camp stream to continue developing your skills.

4. FIGHT CANCELLATIONS

Occasionally, an opponent may withdraw due to injury, illness, or other unforeseen circumstances. If this occurs, every reasonable effort will be made to find a replacement opponent.

If we cannot find a replacement and your bout is cancelled after you have been matched, we will credit the $150 registration and competition kit component of your payment toward your next eligible Fight Camp.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

By signing below, I acknowledge that I understand and agree that:

• The coaching team determines matchups based on weight, experience and age.

• Participation in Fight Camp does not guarantee a bout.

• I am responsible for maintaining/cutting weight to enable me to fight in my agreed category.

• If I am deemed not ready to compete, I will remain in the Training Camp stream and receive a $150 refund.

• If my bout is cancelled after being matched and no replacement opponent can be found, or if I am injured and cannot compete, I will receive a $150 credit towards a future Fight Camp.
